“That’s the point of my exhibit, to reflect upon what we’ve lived through.”

We’ve had so much fun throwing our issue release parties that we decided to double the pleasure, double the bacanal by adding a pre-release party to the mix. For issue 07 we will be hosting two events featuring four of the country’s best bands and our very own resident DJ.
Saturday, September 4th at The Reef (9pm C$60), Hecho is proud to present the new band, Espiral, a group that combines live instrumentation with sampled grooves and a dose of hip hop. Come check out the rookies and then get ready for the veterans to put it down, as Milly Majuc step in to show everybody that when it comes to their place in the Nica rock game, they are sounding better than ever. Hecho’s ‘house’ DJ, Evan Rhodes, will finish off the night with a ton of new mixes and Latin house rhythms.
Thursday September 9th, the official Hecho 07 launch party pops off at Moods (9pm C$150). Monroy & Surmenage (featured in Hecho 03) get things started, with issue 07 cover artists La Cuneta Son Machín headlining the night, and no doubt doing what they do best: getting people up and dancing like freaking maniacs. Evan Rhodes, our very own Mariano Rivera, will be ‘en la mezcla’ once again to close things out, and even premiere a brand new La Cuneta remix he’s been working on.
