Taller Centroamericano de Realización Cinematográfica (Central American Filmmaking Workshop)

Last Monday (November 16, 2009) four short films were premiered at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería ‘s Salomon de la Selva auditorium.

The shorts are a product of the Central American Filmmaking Workshop put on by the school of Cinema and Television of Casa Comal in Guatemala and Programa Ibermedia. The workshop took place at EspIRA/La ESPORA art school in Managua and was aimed at the young men and women of Central America.

The films presented were: Ficción de Género (Moisés Mora), Viernes Santo (Juan Monte), Julieta y el Guionista (Consuelo Mora) y La Traición (Danilo Fajardo). Each was approximately 5 minutes length.

This workshop was given as a way to contribute to audiovisual development in Central America and help the formation of a new generation of filmmakers.
