Figura Pública is an up-and-coming band made up DJ Linox and Juan Montenegro.
Though both members have been around the music scene here for quite some time, the Figura Pública project has really allowed them to branch out musically in new ways.
Linox, who also dj’s solo, is the man behind the beats, samples and keyboards, as well as the live drums. Juan Montenegro, formerly of the bands Contrapeso and Ciclo de Luna, handles the guitars and vocals.
Though they don’t have a lot of time together as a band, every show they play together the chemistry becomes more apparent. The duo performs a unique combination of electronica and rock, a perfect compliment to the rest of the line-up at this Saturday’s 2nd Festival Revuelta Sonora.
In addition to Figura Pública, established bands Momotombo, Sala Bipolar, Afrobeat and more will all be there encouraging the moving of feet and the shaking of booties.
Doors open at 8pm at the Alianza Frances, this Saturday, December 19th. Entrance is 100 cords. It’s gonna be full, so get there early.
