DJ Tamara aka Liquidiamond in Nicaragua this weekend

Twice this weekend you will have the rare opportunity to check out one of Nicaragua’s greatest exports: DJ Tamara aka Liquidiamond.

Born in Nicaragua, Tamara Montenegro began her life as a DJ in Barcelona in 2006. In a short period of time she established herself on the international dance music scene. In 2008, she landed a weekly DJ spot at Amsterdam’s prestigious Getaway DJ Cafe, under her new alias, “Liquidiamond.”

That same year, she opened Earthdance Festival in Bulgaria with a mixture of traditional folk music, Bjork and progressive house, while more recently she played at Amsterdam’s Supperclub alongside superstar diva ZoeXenia.

With her impeccable selection of house, techno and unique musical surprises, Liquidiamond has been known to rock the dance floor for hours on end.

This Friday she will be spinning alongside DJ Chiricano at Hotel Contempo as part of the Sound Affair CD Release Party, an event open to people attending the Sound Affair Party this New Years Eve, as well as potential guests who would like a better idea of what the Sound Affair party will be about.

Saturday, DJ Tamara will be headlining a house party in Granada at the newly renovated Mombacho Beach Club. The dancing begins around 9pm. Entrance is 200C$ for guys and 150C$ for the ladies. Open bar Flor de Caña from 9pm-12am.
